    Menthol crystal product introduction:

    menthol crystal is a colourless transparent acicular to prismatic crystals.

    This product is neutral in ethanol solution, easily soluble in ethanol, chloroform, ether, liquid paraffin or volatile oil, and slightly soluble in water.

    Melting point: 42℃-44℃ Celsius degree

     

    Menthol is contained in the United States FEMA2665, the United States FDA approved for food.

    Flash point:93 °C, flammable. Chemically stable, can volatilise with vapour and is irritating. Avoid contact with oxides, keep containers tightly closed, place in tight containers and store in a cool, dry place.

     Menthol crystal applications:

    Menthol is an edible spice allowed to be used in China, mainly used for flavouring toothpaste, candy and beverage. The dosage is 1100mg/kg in chewing gum, 400mg/kg in candy, 130mg/kg in baked goods, 68mg/kg in ice cream, and 35mg/kg in soft drinks according to normal production needs.

    GB2760-2014 stipulates that natural menthol is permitted to be used as food flavouring. For the preparation of mint-type spices (can account for 10% ~ 18%), can also be used in candy (mints, gummies), beverages, ice cream, etc. (dosage 0.054% ~ 0.1%).

    Menthol crystal can be used as toothpaste, perfume, beverages and confectionery, etc. fragrance.
